I'm Donovan Dela Cruz and I'm running for Mayor of the City & County of Honolulu. As a former council chairman and current city councilmember, I know the tireless work that occurs in our city government.

I believe I have an obligation to give back to this city that has ensured my community a decent quality of life.
I was born and raised in Wahiawa. The values that were taught to me by my grandparents, parents, and teachers, are based on hard work, gratitude and an obligation to give back.

As councilman for District 2, I represent the largest district, nearly 40% of the island. This has allowed me to work with so many constituents in dealing with a variety of community needs. I love serving this district and our community. During my tenure on the City Council, I have introduced and passed progressive legislation that have positively affected my constituents and all of Oahu.

I know how our city works. As a life-long resident and taxpayer, a former neighborhood board chair, and as sitting Councilmember I am committed to improving the quality of life of our island residents and moving Honolulu forward.
